It is my mission to introduce the raw food lifestyle to as many people possible and lead them to healthier living through their diet.  I hope to accomplish this goal by presenting information in a practical and user-friendly manner through this site.  In addition, I make appearances in various places so people can view me preparing raw food dishes and taste the food during demonstrations.

Many people who have heard of “raw food” believe that it’s just too much to try.  They believe it takes too much time or too many ingredients or ingredients that are hard to find.  Well here at Tasty Raw Food, you will find that the opposite is true.

I will share tips on how to get started.  I will tell you where you can find me and experience raw food in person.   I will share videos of me preparing food.  I will share other information to get you started like equipment needed and where to find it.  I will also share information on ingredients used a lot in a raw food diet.

What is Raw Food?

Raw Food is defined as any food that has not been heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit.   Raw food can also be referred to as living cuisine or live food.

What is a Raw Food Diet?

In this diet, the foods consumed are uncooked and unprocessed. The exact definition of raw food varies, but generally the food is considered raw if it has not been heated to more than 115 degrees Fahrenheit.  In the raw food diet one consumes food with the most energy because it is living.  Heating above 115 degrees destroys vital enzymes in foods that assist in the digestion and absorption of nutrients.  Heating also diminishes the nutritional value and “life force” of food.

What are the people called who eat a Raw Food Diet?

People who ascribe to a raw food diet are labeled as Rawist, Raw Foodists and/or Raw Foodies.

Who is considered Raw Foodists?

Although there is debate over what quantity of raw food intake actually defines one as a raw foodist, it is mostly agreed that one who consumes 75% or more of raw food fits.
